The Royal Norwegian Embassy will be represented at NF2011 Opening
 Yesterday we received the final confirmation from The Royal Norwegian Embassy that they will be represented at the opening of Norish Fest 2011 Friday 16 October.

Tolga Municipality will be officially represented at NF2011
 Mayor of Tolga Municipality, Mr Erling Aas-Eng, has confirmed his presence at NF2011 as the official representative for the Municipality.

Norish Fest granted fundings from MFA / MIC
 Norish Fest received this morning a reply to its application to the MFA / MIC for support of invited musicians in traditional music. The application was granted support by NOK 10,000 (EUR 1,275). Of a total of 16 applications (NOK 661,165) in traditional music, 7 applications (NOK 70,000) were granted support.
The support programmes are funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the music sector is administered by MIC Music Information Centre Norway.

Norish Fest presented to the Chairmanship of Tolga Municipality
 Events Committee has previously informed the Mayor Erling Aas-Eng about Norish Fest and on this basis, we were invited to present the concept to the Chairmanship of Tolga Municipality on 8 June. The feedback during the presentation was positive. In the minutes from yesterday's meeting, we read the following:
"Thorbjorn Liell and Ingrid Eide briefing on Norish Fest happening in WaterWille 14-16. October The festival aims to strengthen cooperation between Norway and Ireland. will be focusing on developing and building relationships within culture, tourism, history and business development. Desire for local involvement on a certain level. The administration comes up with a proposal for how."
This we regard as positive signals from the municipality and look forward to hearing more from the administration.

NF2011 Update
 March 23 we had a one-hour presentation of Norish Fest for Ambassador Øyvind Nordsletten at the Norwegian Embassy in Dublin. The embassy shows great interest in the concept Norish Fest, and wants to be updated about our work during the period towards October. There is clearly expressed that Norish Fest represents a new and different link between Norway and Ireland.
Last Monday the NF2011 Committee was gathered in Waterville and worked out a more detailed event program proposal for the weekend 14-16. October. There was also time to introduce NF2011 to Ballinskelligs Tourism being an important partner of the NF2011.
The website will be updated with more details leading up to Easter. A Norwegian version will also be ready by Easter.

NF2011 presentation at the Norwegian Embassy
Wednesday March 23 the Norish Fest 2011 will be presented to the Norwegian Embassy in Dublin. The committee appreciates the Embassy being interested in our event.
