The Royal Norwegian Embassy will be represented at NF2011 Opening

Yesterday we received the final confirmation from The Royal Norwegian Embassy that they will be represented at the opening of Norish Fest 2011 Friday 16 October.

Tolga Municipality will be officially represented at NF2011

Mayor of Tolga Municipality, Mr Erling Aas-Eng, has confirmed his presence at NF2011 as the official representative for the Municipality.

Norish Fest granted fundings from MFA / MIC

Norish Fest received this morning a reply to its application to the MFA / MIC for support of invited musicians in traditional music. The application was granted support by NOK 10,000 (EUR 1,275). Of a total of 16 applications (NOK 661,165) in traditional music, 7 applications (NOK 70,000) were granted support.

The support programmes are funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the music sector is administered by MIC Music Information Centre Norway.

Norish Fest presented to the Chairmanship of Tolga Municipality

Events Committee has previously informed the Mayor Erling Aas-Eng about Norish Fest and on this basis, we were invited to present the concept to the Chairmanship of Tolga Municipality on 8 June. The feedback during the presentation was positive. In the minutes from yesterday's meeting, we read the following:

"Thorbjorn Liell and Ingrid Eide briefing on Norish Fest happening in WaterWille 14-16. October The festival aims to strengthen cooperation between Norway and Ireland. will be focusing on developing and building relationships within culture, tourism, history and business development. Desire for local involvement on a certain level. The administration comes up with a proposal for how."

This we regard as positive signals from the municipality and look forward to hearing more from the administration.

NF2011 Update

March 23 we had a one-hour presentation of Norish Fest for Ambassador Øyvind Nordsletten at the Norwegian Embassy in Dublin. The embassy shows great interest in the concept Norish Fest, and wants to be updated about our work during the period towards October. There is clearly expressed that Norish Fest represents a new and different link between Norway and Ireland.

Last Monday the NF2011 Committee was gathered in Waterville and worked out a more detailed event program proposal for the weekend 14-16. October. There was also time to introduce NF2011 to Ballinskelligs Tourism being an important partner of the NF2011.

The website will be updated with more details leading up to Easter. A Norwegian version will also be ready by Easter.

I går ble det bekreftet at Norges ambassade vil bli representert under åpningen av Norish Fest 2011 fredag 16. oktober.

Tolga kommune vil være offisielt representert under NF2011

Ordfører i Tolga, Erling Aas-Eng, har bekreftet sin deltakelse under NF2011 som kommunens offisielle representant.

Norish Fest mottar støtte fra UD/MIC

Norsk (Norge) 
Norish Fest mottok i dag svar på sin søknad til UD/MIC om reisestøtte for inviterte musikere innen tradisjonsmusikk. Søknaden ble innvilget med NOK 10.000. Av totalt 16 søknader (NOK 661.165) innen tradisjonsmusikk ble 7 søknader (NOK 70.000) innvilget støtte.

Støtteordningene er finansiert av Utenriksdepartementet. Musikkområdet administreres av MIC Norsk musikkinformasjon

Norish Fest presentert for Tolga kommunes formannskap

Arrangementskomitéen har tidligere orientert ordfører Erling Aas-Eng om Norish Fest og på bakgrunn av dette ble vi invitert til å presentere konseptet overfor formannskapet i Tolga kommune den 8. juni. Tilbakemeldingene under presentasjonen var positive. I referatet fra gårsdagens møte leser vi følgende under orienteringssaker:

“Thorbjørn Liell og Ingrid Eide orienterte om ”Norish Fest” som skjer i Waterwille 14-16. okt. Festivalen har til hensikt å styrke samarbeide mellom Norge og Irland. Skal ha fokus på å
utvikle og skape relasjoner innen kultur, turisme, historie og næringsutvikling. Ønske om at kommune involverer seg på et aller annet i nivå. Administrasjonen kommer opp med et forslag til hvordan.”

Dette oppfatter vi som positive signaler fra kommunen og ser fram til å høre nærmere fra administrasjonen.

NF2011 Oppdatering

Den 23. mars hadde vi en times presentasjon av Norish Fest for ambassadør Øyvind Nordsletten ved den norske ambassaden i Dublin. Ambassaden viser stor interesse for konseptet Norish Fest og ønsker nå å bli oppdatert underveis fram mot oktober. Det gis tydelig uttrykk for at Norish Fest representerer en ny og annerledes kopling mellom Norge og Irland.

Forrige mandag var NF2011 komiteen samlet i Waterville og jobbet fram et mer detaljert programforslag for helgen 14.-16. oktober. Det ble også tid til å presentere NF2011 overfor Ballinskelligs Tourism som blir en viktig samarbeidspartner i tiden framover.

Nettsiden vil bli oppdatert med flere detaljer fram mot påske. En norsk versjon vil også bli klar til påske.

Onsdag 23. mars skal Norish Fest 2011 presenteres for den norske ambassaden i Dublin. Komiteen setter stor pris på at ambassaden vil vite mer om vårt arrangement.
